In between 9 and 15 March 2016, a huge milestone has been reached in the field of artificial intelligence: AlphaGo, a program developed by Google's DeepMind unit, has defeated legendary Go player Lee Se-dol in the first of five historic matches being held in Seoul, South Korea. It was a five-game Go match between 18-time world champion Lee Sedol and AlphaGo, AlphaGo won all but the fourth game; all games were won by resignation. The match has been compared with the historic chess match between Deep Blue and Garry Kasparov in 1997.

This principle is perhaps the most difficult to teach kids.5. Grit/Persistence: Grit is defined as 'passion and perseverance in pursuit of long-term goals',and it has recently been widely acknowledged as one of the most important predictors of and contributors to success. Teaching your kids not to give up, to keep trying, and to keep trying new ideas for something that they are truly passionate about achieving is extremely critical.
